Upon looking at flying for private purposes, you could look at conducting the Private Pilot’s Licence. This training is tailored to the students needs entailing Ab initio training and cross country navigation. The training for the Private Licence is conducted in accordance with the applicable schedules of CASR Part 61 Manual of Standards (MOS).
The minimum hours conducted under the syllabus of training for a Private Pilot’s Licence is 45 hours, including cross country navigation.
Aligned with your training you will also learn aerodynamics, navigation preparation, flight planning, airspace rules and regulations, human performance, performance & operations and meteorology.

The theory examination for the Private Pilot’s Licence is conducted at an accredited aviation exam centre, comprising of all theoretical areas of your training. The private theory exam is best conducted during the early stages of training but has to be completed prior to being flight tested.
