Easily identifiable by its thundering sound and iconic shape and the most widely used military helicopter, the Bell UH-1 series Iroquois, better known as the 'Huey' have played a predominant role in several Hollywood blockbusters such as Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon and We Were Soldiers. 

"Hueys" began arriving in Vietnam in 1963. Before the end of the conflict, more than 5,000 of these versatile aircraft were introduced into Southeast Asia. "Hueys" were used for MedEvac, command and control, and air assault; to transport personnel and material; and as gunships.

They have logged over 27 million flight hours from the 1950's to the present day making them the most widely used helicopters in the world. 

For the historically minded - try our Historical Flight. An exciting, historical flight in an iconic "Huey" or consider it a flight of remembrance and honour for those who have fallen. 
This is a 15 minute flight. 

Or, for extremists, enjoy a white-knuckle experience during The Extreme Flight with wind rushing in through open doors, unobstructed views, banking turns and flight manoeuvres adding to the thrill. 
This is a 30 minute flight.
